When my group and I was taking photos we learnt to work as a team so we can get the job done. The tricky parts that we had to do was try and keep the camera still because if we move the camera a lot the little film that we were making will look funny.

How much did you know about Book Club before we started?

Before my group and I read the book the only thing that we knew was the the is a boy called Bradley and a girl called Catalina also their dad is gone to Queensland because he shifted jobs.

What were your goals for Reading and Book Club? Have your goals changed? Are you on track to meet your goals?

When I was reading the book ( One Wheel Drive) my goal was to find out the main purpose of the story. My goal hasn't changed when I reader the book. I am on track  because I reader the whole book and this is the last week that we are supposed to be reading it for.

As you look at your work so far, what's one thing that you would like to try to improve upon?

Next time I will try and improve reading together in a group so when I finish reading the book everyone in my group will finish reading as well.

Taine’s Book Reflection,

In my opinion I think one wheel is a good book. I like one wheel drive because the main characters Bradley and his friends and family is very interesting. He was interesting because there was a lot of parts in the story that when Bradley took a ride on his dad’s motorbike he fell down a lot of times so I like his because he was brave. Also I like Bradley because he is a brave man.

In conclusion the book one wheel drive is a book that I really good.

 This my Xtramath  Certificate. I got it because I finished division. Also I answered all of the questions in under 3 seconds.  

...Genius Hour Reflection...

What:

I was work with James (Flox Class) to create some posters because our group are going to be having a fundraiser and the money will go to the Salvation Army so they can get more things to give to the homeless people.

So What:

We were working on the posters so we can share it with the other people from May Rod that is in our groups (David, Paea, Faasua) so if they like it we will use it for our fundraiser to bring more people and donate so money.

Now What:

After James and I finish our posters we will go and share it with David, Paea and Faasua from May Road. After that if there is not enough posters we will make some more so there can be a lot.


This is my reflection that I made about Genius Hour. Also it is about what I did today for Genius Hour.

...May Road School Reflection..

What?

When we got to May Road School we had to go and talk to people from May Road and also ask people questions but the thing is that people from Hay Park were not allowed to talk to people from Hay Park, and people from May Road was not allowed to talk to people from May Road. I learnt and made a lot of new friends from May Road like Sefanaia and Presley.

So what?

We went to May Road because we were going to collaborate with the May Road students.  Also we went there cause people from May Road have never done genius hour so we went to buddy up with them so we can help them, because the student at Hay Park are the experts.

Now what?

The next thing that is going to happen is my group and I will start to plan for our genius hour which is about why can’t homeless people live normally. My group and I are thinking about doing a presentation and also doing a model of homeless people living normally.

...Managing Self…

I am really proud of my learning and other things that I have always wanted to achieve like now I know how to behave on school trips.  Also I know how to behave when I am out on the playground.

Another thing I am proud of is that my blog comments because in term 1 I only did 1 sentence for my comment people’s blogs but now I do 4 or 5 sentences in my comments. Also another thing that I am proud of is my behaviour choices  because I used to get distracted a lot but now I can manage myself when I am in the classroom and also out in the playground.

When you are working in groups you need to be respectful to your open to new ideas and ways to learn, negotiate and co-operate effectively with others, you can listen and respect, my manners EG: using please and thank you when I need to help, others include others always play fair and able to work with other people always kind.

XtraMath is a website that I go and learn my basic facts, it’s a really good website too. XtraMath helps me with my maths and it also helps me to practice my basic facts.

A green square means I can answer the questions quickly.

Yellow means I know it but I can’t do it quick enough.

The gray square means I missed it or I didn't do it.

My next step for XtraMath is to try and get the yellow and the gray square to be green and practice
